Mr. Selwyn Fuller, Deputy Auditor General
Fifty-year-old Mr. Selwyn Fuller is currently one of two Deputy Auditor Generals; he presently manages the Belize City office. He has been employed as a Public Officer for twenty-nine (29) years at the Office of the Auditor General of Belize, the Supreme Audit Institution of Belize.
In 2022, Mr. Fuller obtained a certificate from the Government Accounting Office. This supplemented his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Belize which he earned in 2002. Before this, he received an associate degree in business administration from St. John’s College, Junior College. During his twenty-nine years at the Office of the Auditor General, he completed numerous online and in-person courses and attended several workshops and international conferences. In July 2014, he became a Certified ISSAI Financial Audit Facilitator.
Mr. Fuller was first employed at the Office of the Auditor General in 1993 as a second-class clerk. In 1998, he was promoted to a first-class clerk; in 2004, he was promoted to the post of Examiner of Accounts. His upward mobility continued with a promotion to Supervisor of Audit in 2010.
Over the years Mr. Fuller has conducted and led numerous financial and compliance audits and a few performance audits. He has represented the office on several television programs and was a member of the audit committee for the University of Belize. Additionally, has also facilitated audit courses for public officers.
